RF / COAX
Coax cable assemblies are a popular choice for sending data, video or radio signals where high frequency and low interference are required. We can supply a huge range of RF and Co-axial assemblies using BNC, N type, F type, SMA, MCX and MMCX connectors as well as all of the RG and URM cable variants. Phew, that was a lot of acronyms!
Selecting the right component for the job can be tricky here with many criteria to consider such as impedance, speed, signal loss, and protection from emi / rfi. We can often help in the selection process if your design is not yet finalised.
Crimp Assemblies
Simply put, a crimp connection is a type of solderless connection. The crimped wire is normally inserted into a housing with one or more other crimped wires.
There are countless crimp terminal types available – and the variants keep on growing! Your assemblies may include a mix of different crimp types from basic rings, forks and spades to high density micro-pitch contacts which require very precise skills and controlled conditions for correct assembly. We are tooled up to process a huge range of crimp terminals including : Molex, Tyco, JST, Amphenol, Hirose, FCI, Souriau, Berg, Binder, Lemo, Fischer and many more.
Soldered Leads
This group covers a large number of variants – D-sub, MIL spec, circular, rectangular, power, signal, data…we could go on! Rather than list them all here, we think it’s pretty safe to say that whatever connector style you need, there’s probably a solder variant available for it.
Wire Cut Prep
Cables, equipment wire, sleeving or braiding can be cut, bundled and shipped to your requirements by our overnight courier. Other operations such as stripping, tinning and labelling can also be accommodated.
We can process a wide range of wire types including PVc, polyurethane, PTFE, silicone, rubber, armoured and steel braid. Please don’t hesitate to give us a call with your trickiest and most special requirements – we love a challenge!
IDC
Also known as ribbon cables, IDC leads or flat ribbon, IDC stands for Insulation Displacement Connector and can include any assembly where the wire or cable is attached to the connector by displacing the insulation.
This is achieved by the connector having a prong which pierces the insulation, making electrical contact between the connector and the conductor of the wire.
