ENQUIRY
Our preferred first point of contact is a either a formal RFQ package or a list of your requirements. Ideally, your enquiry will include full drawings and BOMs but our skilled team can also work from samples, photos or descriptions.
Once we have fully reviewed your enquiry, we’ll be in touch to confirm our understanding of your requirements and to agree a date for your quote.
This is where the real hard work kicks in. We’ll leave no stone unturned in our research for your project. We’ll look into materials, production, testing, tooling, logistics and any special requirements to provide you with a comprehensive, considered quote.
Once you’ve had time to review your quote (it will also include a full breakdown of any suggested alternative parts, tooling costs and how they are accounted for so we’ll give you a little while!), we’ll get in touch to discuss any questions you may have or to advise on any changes you wish to make.
Order
This is where you can sit back and relax while we make things happen. A robust and thorough review of your contract will be made where we will double check all critical aspects of order to ensure that it is expertly fulfilled and delivered on time.
Just before we finalise preparations for the production team, we’ll get in touch with you confirm the full, final details of your order and to discuss any final changes and/or special requirements.
Once we are certain that our drawings, materials, test rigs, tooling and work instructions are absolutely perfect, we will hand your order over to the production team. The team assemble and rigorously test your order according to the approved documents before they are carefully packed and delivered by our overnight courier.
QMS
Our obsessive approach to quality and precision means that the stringent disciplines and procedures demanded by the AS9100 system are locked into our DNA and applied to every aspect of our work.
Critical Procedures are prominently displayed at all workstations and every computer has a direct link to the entire QMS documentation. Our performance against our QMS and KPIs is constantly measured to ensure that it’s always relevant, allowing us to continue producing high quality products.
SKILLS & TRAINING
Every member of our Production Team must complete our mandatory Core Skills Programme. This innovative programme was developed in-house and uses the principles embedded in the IPC620 Cable Assembly Workmanship Standard.
The course has been uniquely tailored to ensure that we produce the highest quality cable assemblies for today’s market and its built-in flexibility allows us to add processes and skills as the industry invents new demands and applications.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT / KPI’S
You’ve heard the phrase, ‘If you can measure it, you can improve it.’ It’s a saying that we take very seriously. We want to improve everything… all the time.
So, we do a lot of measuring. And that leads to a lot of improving.
You’ll see that from the difference in the quality of the service and the products you get from us. We set targets for anything that affects the production and delivery of your cable assemblies – production efficiency, on-time delivery performance, capacity planning and everything else in between.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
We strive to be your first choice partner for cable assemblies and wire harnesses. This means that, as well as monitoring and improving our day-to-day performance, we also scan the horizon for new ways to improve the products and services we provide for you.
Here’s just a small selection of the innovations we have either recently completed or are the process of developing:
– Customer Portal – an online login area where you can track all aspects of your orders in real-time including quantity outstanding, due date and its assembly progress status.
– Enquiry fulfilment – This already robust procedure is being further enhanced to provide you with clearer information where we have suggested alternative components or where there are tooling issues. Your quotation will now also include a full description of any components we have suggested.
